Blood bank thanks community for support
South Brunswick Community Blood Bank wants to thank the 110 friends and neighbors who took time out of a nasty October Saturday to donate 106 much-needed units of blood. If you weren't able to be with us, we're hopeful you'll join us next time Feb. 7 at Congregation B'nai Tikvah, Finnegans Lane, North Brunswick.

We also want to thank those who helped us with this drive: all the volunteers who put up billboards and posters, handled the registration of donors, and fed the staff. We also appreciate teenagers Maggie Boyle, Niralee Desai, Nick Gorski, Christina and Paul Gramieri, Cameron Pascal and Shana Samuels, who shared duties at the refreshment and child care areas. We're grateful for support from local businesses: Bagel Time & Deli, Beiler's Fresh Meats, McCaffrey's, Pierre's Bakery, ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Tastee SubShoppe II, Wegmans, and joining us, The Wisdom Diner.

If you'd like to join our committee and/or lend a helping hand, call me at 732-297-3198.
