N.B. Republicans name new candidate

The North Brunswick Republican Organization named Jordan B. Rickards as a candidate for the November 2009 Township Council election.

The lifelong resident graduated from Rutgers Preparatory School in 1997 and from Liberty University in 2001 magna cum laude, where he was a member of the National Dean's List. In 2004, he graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law cum laude. He worked in the Attorney General's Office, completed a Superior Court clerkship and was a prosecutor in Middlesex County Superior Court before leaving to start his own practice.

A member of Mensa and the Heritage Foundation, he is pro-life, pro-union, proenvironment and anti-tax.

Rickards will replace Thomas O'Neill, who withdrew his name due to increased career responsibilities. O'Neill will continue to serve as chairman of the North Brunswick Republican Organization.
