Blood drives in North Brunswick March 21

New Jersey Blood Services will hold a blood drive 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at Livingston Park Elementary School, Livingston and Ridgewood Avenues, North Brunswick. A drive will also be 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Mason's Union Lodge, 60 Cedar Ave., North Brunswick. Both drives are March 21.

Hospital demand for blood (needed for emergency care and surgery) has increased beyond seasonal expectations while levels of blood donation have been below forecast. Eligible donors should be age 17 or older, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in generally good health. People over 75 may donate with a doctor's note.
