Intelligence will fix environment problem

What carelessness! I have witnessed the same problems on Halsey Road [as referred to in "Residents hope complaints are not blowing in the wind," page 7, Jan. 15 issue].

After Central Jersey Waste Co. goes through and does what they can, within reason, I sometimes spend a bit of time chasing down odds and ends, not nearly as bad as shown in your photos. I have seen Central Jersey clean up equivalent to the photos.

They must shake their heads in despair over our carelessness.

The fault is ours, not the Central Jersey Waste Co. We must remove lids, then crush plastic, aluminum containers, plus put tied newspapers on top of "loose" paper. Just some native intelligence will alleviate this so-called environment problem.
