Chanukah on Ice,' menorah lightings slated

Chabad of North and South Brunswick, and Chabad House — Lubavitch of Central N.J., will present "Chanukah On Ice," 4-6 p.m. Dec. 21 at Princeton Sports Center, 1000 Cornwall Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. The family event will feature a menorah carved in ice measuring eight feet tall, open skating, and Hanukkah songs. Tickets are $7, and prices include skate rental. Hanukkah-themed refreshments will be available.

A menorah lighting ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at Monmouth Home Park, 4017 Route 1 south, Monmouth Junction. Sen. Bill Baroni, Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein, Mayor Frank Gambatese, Township Council and Police Chief Ray Hayducka will attend.

A ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 23 in front of the municipal building, 710 Hermann Road, North Brunswick. Mayor Francis "Mac" Womack, Councilman Bob Davis and Town Council members will attend.

A tribute in the memory of the victims of the Mumbai attacks will be made at each ceremony. Hot holiday-themed refreshments will be served, and both events are free and open to the public.
