Teenager arrested for attempted burglary SOUTH BRUNSWICK — A 17-yearold was arrested Friday for attempting to burglarize a home on Richard Road in Monmouth Junction, according to a police press release. At about 10 a.m., the resident was startled by the burglar in her home. She ran upstairs and called police as the burglar left the scene. South Brunswick Patrolman Sean Roberts, armed with a description of the suspect, found him. In an interview with Roberts, the suspect gave false information about his identity and his activity in the neighborhood. He was also in possession of some items from the victim's home. In addition, some items belonging to the suspect were found at the victim's house, according to reports. The 17-year-old male was arrested and released to the custody of his father. He had gained access to the house by prying a screen from a window, reports said. |
