Accident victim in critical state
An East Brunswick man is in critical condition after his small box truck overturned after crashing into a tractor on Stults Road at the intersection of Herrod Boulevard in South Brunswick just past 9 a.m. Monday, according to South Brunswick police Sgt. Hugh McNeil.

The 37-year-old was taken by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, because of the severity of his injuries.

The 53-year-old Newark man who was driving the tractor, which was carrying a cargo container, was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as well. He was eventually cleared and released.

The driver of the tractor was interviewed by investigators from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and from the South Brunswick Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit. The crash is still under investigation.

The roads where the crash occurred were closed for four and a half hours.
