'Culture in Context' opens July 6 at Olde Towne

Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission will present the New Jersey State Museum's traveling folk art exhibition, "Culture in Context: A Tapestry of Expression" July 6-29 at East Jersey Olde Towne Village, 1050 River Road, Piscataway. Featured items include a hand-made doll, hooked pillow cover, a wall hanging, a miniature sneakbox, a glass mold, a Native American princess crown and baybayin flute.

A rangoli demonstration will be 2 p.m. July 6 at Olde Towne Village; and a traditional Greek folk dance performance by the Hellenic Dancers of New Jersey will be 7:30 p.m. July 16 at Plainsboro Middle School, 55 Grovers Mill Road. Registration is required.
