Search warrant executions lead to several arrests on drug charges

NORTH BRUNSWICK- Several people were arrested on Friday in connection with possessing and distributing heroin.

Around 12:30 p.m., a search warrant was executed at the Holiday Inn Express in East Brunswick, according to North Brunswick Police Lt. Roger Reinson.

Police arrested Xavier Feneque, 24, of North Brunswick, with distribution of heroin, distribution within 500 feet of public housing, distribution of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) near school property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Feneque had escaped from the Northern State Prison halfway house, Reinson said. Bail was set at $175,000, no 10 percent option.

Also arrested was Victoria Richardson, 22, of New Brunswick, for distribution of heroin, hindering apprehension and numerous contempt of court charges out of various towns. Bail was not set, as she was turned over to a different department.

In addition, police arrested and charged Anthony Jordon, 26, of New Brunswick, with contempt of court. He was also turned over to a different agency.

Reinson said that police seized 985 bags of heroin, worth about $3,200, and a silver Chevrolet.

The arrests were a collaborative effort of the North Brunswick Anti-Crime Unit and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force.

Reinson then said that simultaneously, a search warrant was executed at Nassau Street in North Brunswick. Esperanza Feneque, 37, was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, distribution of heroin, distribution of CDS on or near school property, possession of CDS within 500 feet of a public housing facility and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on her own recognizance.
