Support efforts of MADD the weekend of May 2 We were recently approached by For Pete's Sake Hair Salon at the South Brunswick Square Mall asking us if they could do a cut-a-thon where 100 percent of the proceeds raised would go directly to MADD NJ. This exciting event will be held May 4 from noon-5 p.m. The salon is located in the shopping center on Route 1 southbound between New Road and Wynwood Drive. Although walk-ins are welcome, there are just a few appointment times still available. Please call the salon at (732) 329-1122 to book your appointment. Remember 100 percent of every dollar raised that day will be donated to MADD NJ to assist us in the campaign to eliminate drunken driving. I am also extremely pleased to inform you that Hawaiian Bronze Tanning Salon located next door to For Pete's Sake Hair Salon has generously agreed to donate 10 percent of their gross income from May 2-4. In addition to tanning services they also sell many wonderful tanning and skin products. Hawaiian Bronze Tanning Salon is also in the midst of offering MADD magnets for a small donation. They can be reached at (732) 274-0448. They have decided that all of the proceeds they donate will be made in memory of Kylie Pinheiro, a young member of the South Brunswick community who was recently killed by an alleged drunken driver. Mothers Against Drunk Driving New Jersey is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that depends heavily upon the generosity and support of the community. Themission ofMADD NJ is to eliminate drunk driving, serve the victims of this violent crime and to prevent underage drinking. The donations raised at this event will assist MADD NJ in further providing advocacy, education and victim services. If you would like additional information, please contact Mothers Against Drunk Driving New Jersey at (609) 585-7233. Please join us for this fun and outstanding weekend of events because together we do make a difference. Mindy Lazar State Executive Director Mothers Against Drunk Driving New Jersey Trenton |
