Employee arrested for steel theft

SOUTH BRUNSWICK - A former employee was charged with stealing six steel "I" beams from GWS Contractors on Fresh Ponds Road on April 9, according to police.

Anthony Pasqualini, 33, of Lakewood, turned himself in to South Brunswick police with a bail bondsman. He was released on $25,000 bail.

Eric Davis, the owner of GWS Contractors, had reported the beams stolen on March 5. They were each valued at $5,000.

After investigating, police found the beams at a scrap yard in Howell. Four of the beams were returned to GWS Contractors.
