Replace 'homeland security' with American security
Recent wars have been fought for us by the unlucky people who felt they were only "shock troops" buying time for the rest of us to mobilize. When I was released from active duty to the Reserves, the thinking then was if these Reserves get called back, our country will also be mobilizing the Scout Troops.

This "Stop Loss" review by Chris Gaetano, April 3, mentions the 81,000 people who have been re-called, many several times, by our backdoor draft. This is because our "leaders" refuse to do the right thing, thereby admitting their mistakes. Rather, they continue in power by isolating most of us from reality.

Somewhere early on, I read their logic was that only about 25 people here care about each casualty. So, it is reasoned, less than a million of us of 300 million total will be scattered about this great country with little influence. Even the caskets are never shown grouped together. You may see on TV, now and then, a few soldiers getting great treatment for their missing arms and legs.

This ongoing tragedy in Iraq would be over by summer if Congress would enforce our Constitution to either declare war and fully mobilize this great country or order our troops home. Facing this either/or decision, I predict wars become only our last option, not our first. Let's replace that foreign sounding "homeland security" with American security!
