N.B. seniors grateful for Robotix members
The news that the North Brunswick Raiders won first place in the New Jersey regional Robotix competition thrilled me.

I had the opportunity to meet some of the team members before their first competition. I had had a treadmill delivered to my home. Since my husband and I are senior citizens, we were unable to carry the treadmill into our home. I decided to try to find some students from the high school, since it was after the regular school had closed for the day. Luckily I found some students were after school, working on their Robotix machine. I spoke to their teacher and he asked if any students were willing to help.

Four volunteered - two girls and two boys. These students came to our home and quickly and easily carried the treadmill into the house. They then proceeded to set it up. These wonderful students refused to take any payment. All they asked was that I attend the competition at their school and write a note saying they had done a community service. Both of these things I did.

As a former teacher, I was gratified to meet such caring and helpful students. We should be proud of these young people!
