Frank P. Lavers Mr. Lavers, 88, of North Brunswick, died Jan. 21, 2008, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Brussels, Belgium, he resided in North Brunswick for more than 60 years. He was a maintenance supervisor for the North Brunswick Board of Education for approximately 11 years, retiring in 1981. Prior to that, Mr. Lavers owned and operated Frenchy's Barbershop, New Brunswick, for 34 years. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. He was a member of theAmerican Legion, Joyce Kilmer Post No. 25, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Clark Moetz Post No. 2319, bothMilltown; and North Brunswick Senior Citizens. Mr. Lavers is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Mariano Lavers; a son and daughterin law, Julian P. and Rose Lavers of Barnegat; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Frank Hager of Mohnton, Pa.; a sister, Sister Mercy Irene Lavers, S.M., of the Bronx, N.Y.; three granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Jan. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, followed by entombment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick, is in charge of arrangements. |
