SOUTH BRUNSWICK - A driving school instructor was charged with harassment on Jan. 4 for kissing a 16-year-old female student fromWestWindsor.

Mohammed Salim, 49, of East Windsor, works at the Popular Driving School on Georges Road. According to police spokesman Detective Jim Ryan, the victim was scheduled for a driving lesson on Jan. 2 between 3 and 4 p.m. and Salimcame to pick her up at her high school. They then drove to the Motor Vehicle Commission office in Lawrence and eventually to the driving school in South Brunswick.

Ryan said that while the victim was there, Salim sat on her lap and said he wanted her to be his girlfriend. He then began to kiss her forehead, cheek and neck. When she told himto stop, Salimeventually did so and drove her to her friend's house, and she eventually told her parents. She arrived at police headquarters around 7 p.m. that evening with her father.

According to police, Salim admitted that he had taken her hands into his and subsequently lost control.Ryan said that these actions do not fit into the definition of sexual conduct and so harassment was the charge.
