Resident tries to pamper victims of house fire
Pampered Chef party to raise supplies for family; public can place orders
BY JENNIFER AMATO Staff Writer

NORTH BRUNSWICK - On Dec. 9, the Nam family lost everything they owned. A candle in their basement caused a destructive house fire, resulting in the necessary demolition of their home. The Hickory Lane residence sustained most of its damage to the back of the house, as the right side of the second floor collapsed into the first floor.

Heather Fraunberger, who lives just two blocks away from the Nams, watched the fire on the news. Although she said she had never met the family before their tragedy, she said they had the only other house in the neighborhood that was the exact same model as her family's house. So, she decided to hold a Pampered Chef party in order to provide products for her North Brunswick neighbors.

"I wanted to do some kind of service and help them out in some way because they did lose everything," she said.

Pampered Chef features kitchenware, cookware, stoneware, bakeware and specialty pantry items such as spice blends and cookbooks. Fraunberger attended a fundraiser for her sister-in-law's school and saw how much money was raised then.

"I would just love to get them all the kitchen products they can ever need," she said.

The fundraising works in two ways: First, a person can choose to shop for themselves. If the product sales total $1,000, 30% of the total will be put toward products for the Nam family. For every $100 afterward, $25 in products will be donated. Or, residents can purchase and donate specific items for the Nams. Fraunberger received a wish list from the family as to avoid duplicate products.

Next week's party is exclusive to Fraunberger's family and friends, as she has limited space in her house. However, any other resident who wishes to participate can visit www.PamperedChef.biz/BroadwayChef. Click on "Order Products" and type in "Nam" as the name of the organization. Fraunberger's name will appear, at which time the order can be placed. Items can be shipped directly to the purchaser's home.

The deadline for purchases is Jan. 29.

"[These] products can help furnish the kitchen of a family that lost everything," Fraunberger said.
