Free weekend getaway for disabled adults Feb. 9-10

TheMiddlesexCountyOffice for theDisabled is offering a freeWinterWeekendGetaway for adults with disabilities Feb 9-10 at Kiddie Keep Well Camp in Roosevelt Park, Edison.

Applicants must be cognitively competent adults who direct their own care and who have the ability to medicate and transfer themselves. The overnight winter weekend program is designed to accommodate adultswith disabilities and ismodeled on the very successful Senior Camp Program. Activities will include arts and crafts, an exercise program, a wellness program, a nutrition programand amovie night.

Guests will stay in the Kiddie KeepWell Lodge, with shared living arrangements, including common bathrooms and sleeping arrangements. Guestsmust bring their own personal products including towels, bed linens and blankets. Extra staff will be on duty, including a nurse.

Participation will be limited to the first 15 people who submit fully completed applications. Allmedical information required on the application must be completed by a physician or certified nurse practitioner.
