Raymond J. Williams

Mr. Williams, 20, of North Brunswick, died Dec. 1, 2007, in Homestead, Fla. Born in Salem County, he was raised in North Brunswick. He was a Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Petty Officer attached to the Maritime Safety and Security Team, Miami, as part of the Maritime Law Enforcement/Force Protection Team, Homestead, Fla. He joined the N.W.S. Earle Sea Cadets in 2002, graduated North Brunswick Township High School in 2005, and entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 2005. He was certified MSST Tactical Boat Crewman in 2006, and received the Coast Guard Pistol and Coast Guard rifleman Awards. He was certified Boarding Team Member in January upon completion of tactical training at Camp Lejeune, N.C. He enjoyed the outdoors and the ocean. He is survived by his parents, Jammy Robert and Eileen Skrobick Williams Jr. of North Brunswick; a sister, Tia Williams of North Brunswick; his paternal grandparents, Dee Ann and Jimmy Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.; two aunts; and one uncle.
