Baroni extends thanks to his supporters
Iwant to thank the voters of the 14th District for giving me the opportunity to be their state senator. These are my neighbors with whom I have had conversations with on their porches and at townmeetings. These are the people I am proud to serve. Their hope, confidence, and prayers got me through the campaign.

This also would not have been possible without theman who has taught me what it means to be a public servant. I am proud to be following in the footsteps of Sen. Peter Inverso. He has been a great influence and has mentored me during my time in the legislature. I will work hard every day to continue his legacy of principled leadership, honesty and integrity in government.

Since my first term in office, I have worked hard to restore the public's faith in government. It has been my goal to clean up the "culture of corruption" in Trenton by introducing comprehensive ethics reform legislation and a ban on pay-to-play. I promise not to stop there. Corruption is costing this state millions of dollars each year. This "corruption tax" is helping to fuel the exodus of thousands of New Jersey residents to other states every year.

Making New Jersey more affordable will also be a primary focus. I will continue to support a citizens' constitutional convention for property tax reform.

Education has always been my passion. I will work everyday to promote a new school funding formula and invest in our higher education system. In order to make New Jersey an engine of economic growth, we need to ensure our schools are supported and enhanced.

I will continue to be an independent voice in the legislature. During the next four years, I will keep talking with people face-toface about the important issues facing our communities. My office will continue to hold town meetings and be available on nights and weekends for my constituents. I look forward to working hard for all residents of the 14th District and if I haven't knocked on your door, I'm on my way!

Assemblyman Bill Baroni
