Park permit issue dismays N.B. resident
What has happened to our town? I always feel children these days play too many video games and not enough outside activities. I'm happy that in North Brunswick we have a nice new safe park where our children can play. Then what is wrong with this picture?

It's Friday of teachers' convention and what child isn't thrilled to be off from school? Phone calls are made to meet at our community park for a pickup game of football. Everyone meets at the park and is having fun playing football until the game gets interrupted by the park ranger. The boys are told that they need a park permit to play! Yes, you read that right.

Does anyone else feel we are taking this a little too far? I can understand that when it is nice weather and the park is busy on a weekend, then possibly a permit is needed. But children playing football on a cold Friday afternoon in November?
