Board thanked for checking compensation
Iread with disappointment the article in the Sentinel regarding the suit by the Board of Education against Marshall Sigal and Geri Margin for use of unauthorized compensatory days. As a former student, I find it distressing that administrators of such a high level think they punch a clock, especially when I would see so many teachers - who do not make nearly as much money - giving of themselves unselfishly to help students finish projects after school or just to stay and talk because maybe a kid is having a rough day.

The charges speak for themselves: fraud, deception and misrepresentation, just to name a few. I know there have been several articles - one in particular from the former high school principal - making a comment as to why there seems to be a major upheaval in our district. Well, I guess now we know why. How long had they been doing this? Do they really believe the taxpayers should be footing the bill for what they believe they are entitled to?

If Mr. Sigal and Mrs. Margin really felt they were entitled, then why didn't they tell the Board of Education? This is greed, pure and simple, by two people who don't even live in our town but who had no problem padding the bill. I sat as Board of Education student liaison in my senior year and was proud that I had the honor. Now I am embarrassed. Thank you to the North Brunswick Board of Education for looking out for the students and taxpayers.
