School evacuated over note

NORTH BRUNSWICK - A note found on a bathroom wall at Linwood Middle School on Oct. 17 was deemed a noncredible threat by police.

According to Lt. Roger Reinson, a teacher notified Principal Pete Clark who in turn contacted the police department around 2:45 p.m., at which time the school was evacuated. Since the school day was ending, the walkers were released and any students riding a school bus were sent to the neighboring Parsons Elementary School for dismissal.

Police and the janitorial staff searched the building and determined it was safe for staff to re-enter after about 45 minutes. Reinson said there were no specifics mentioned as to where the device would have been located, or what exactly it was.

There is no further information at this time.
