Steve J. Antonello graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) leader development and assessment course at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. Cadets in junior and senior year of college must complete the leadership development course. Upon successful completion of the course, the ROTC program, and graduation from college, cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, National Guard, or Reserve. A 2007 graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, Wayne, Pa., he is the son of Karan L. Antonello of North Brunswick.

Air Force Airman Abraham J. Choi has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen completing the six week program earn basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Choi is a 2005 graduate of South Brunswick High School, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

Steve J. Antonello has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. The four-week course is a leadership internship for cadets during which they receive training in fundamental military skills, rifle marksmanship, small arms tactics, weapons training, drill and ceremony, communications, combat water survival training, rappelling, land navigation and squadlevel operations field training. A 2007 graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, Wayne, Pa. he is the son of Karan L. Antonello of North Brunswick.

Joshua T. Ku has entered Basic Cadet Training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy. The six-week, twophased orientation program must be successfully completed by the cadets prior to entering freshman year. Ku is the son of Winston Ku and Elizabeth Hsu of North Brunswick.

Army Pfc. Orlando P. Torres has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. During training, he studied the army mission and received instruction and training exercises in drill and ceremonies, Army history, core values and traditions, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, rifle marksmanship, weapons use, map reading and land navigation, foot marches, armed and unarmed combat, and field maneuvers and tactics. A 2005 graduate of North Brunswick Township High School, he is the son of Sandra Torres of North Brunswick.

Air Force Reserve Tech. Sgt. Patricia E. Veronsky has been decorated with the Air Force Commendation Medal. The medal is awarded to those individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement or meritorious service in the performance of their duties on behalf of the Air Force. Veronsky is an information system craftsman assigned to the 514th Mission Support Group at McGuire Air Force Base. A 1985 graduate of Franklin High School, Somerset, she received an associate's degree at Raritan Valley Community College, North Branch, Neb. She is the daughter of Elsa E. Sprandel of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, and Adolfo S. Manco of North Brunswick.

Private Joseph N. Garrett, North Brunswick, has enlisted as an infantryman in the New Jersey Army National Guard. Following basic training at Fort Benning, Ga., Garrett will serve with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 113th Infantry at the National Guard Armory in Woodbridge.
