Trip to Museum of Jewish Heritage Oct. 21

The sisterhood of Congregation B'nai Tikvah, 1001 Finnegan's Lane, North Brunswick, will sponsor a trip to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, Battery Place, New York City, Oct. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cost is $35 per person for transportation and admission. The bus will depart from the temple's parking lot. For more information, e-mail AdultEd@BnaiTikvah.org.

The Fifty Plus Group will meet Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. For more information, call Doris at (609) 860-1498 or Annette at (732) 297- 3562. The group will also meet Nov. 27 at p.m. Robin Kessler of R & D Internet Associates will discuss purchasing and repairing computers, and computer basics. Reservations are required before Nov. 15. To RSVP, call Madeline at (732) 297-4240 or Doris at (609) 860-1498. Members, guests and prospective members are welcome to attend the free meetings, and refreshments will be served.

Sisterhood board member Bonnie Kudwitt will give a class on how to use e-bay Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. Attendees should bring a credit card or checkbook to help set up an account. There will also be a bagel breakfast. The social action committee is collecting lipgloss, lipstick and hotel-size soaps, shampoos and conditioners for Women Aware. The sisterhood will offer a craft workshop Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. to assemble afghans for local charities. Materials come in a kit, and attendees do not need to know how to knit or crochet to take part. Knitters or crocheters wishing to knit or crochet a square or two before the event, may call Bobbi at (732) 274-2797.

The congregation will hold a crafts fair/vendors market Nov. 18 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The free event will feature items such as jewelry, pottery, photography, cards and stationery, and sports memorabilia, a raffle and refreshments for purchase.
