Loretta J. Baum Culver

Mrs. Culver, 63, of Jamesburg, died Sept. 14, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. She was the owner of South Brunswick Kennels. Surviving are her husband, James Culver; a daughter, Christine Palmer of Pocomoke, Md.; a son, Mark Culver of the Toms River section of Dover; a brother, Ken Baum of San Antonio, Texas; and four grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

Michael H. Griffin

Mr. Griffin, 72, of North Brunswick, died Sept. 24, 2007, at home. Born in Susquehanna, Pa., he relocated to the North Brunswick area in 1959. He was employed at Quaker Oats, retiring in 1984. He served with the U.S. Army Reserve. He enjoyed reading and was a collector of army memorabilia. Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife of 21 years, Estelita Calderone Griffin; two daughters, Marjorie Helen Griffin at home and Cynthia Griffin of Philadelphia; a brother, Daniel L. Griffin of Manville; and two sisters, Linda Sloop of Courtland, N.Y., and Sister Carole Griffin, I.H.M. (Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary), of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. A funeral service will be held Sept. 27 at noon at Gleason Funeral Home, Somerset. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Sept. 27 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church, Kendall Park section of South Brunswick. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.

Michael R. Lacik Jr.

Mr. Lacik, 77, of North Brunswick, died Sept. 13, 2007, at home. Born in Metuchen, he resided in Edison prior to relocating to North Brunswick 50 years ago. He was employed with North Brunswick Township for 12 years. Prior to that, he was a maintenance worker at Triangle Conduit and Cable Company, New Brunswick, for 33 years. Mr. Lacik served with the U.S. Army for 13 months during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. His memberships included North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company No. 3, Exempt Firemen's Association, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3117, Edison. He was also North Brunswick Township Fire Chief during the 1970s. Mr. Lacik is survived by his wife, Marie Tavalare Lacik; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Michael Toth of North Brunswick, and Karen and Mitchell Firrello of Franklin Park; a brother, Frederick Lacik of Bayville; and two granddaughters. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Church. Entombment took place at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements.

Gary A. Cenicola

Mr. Cenicola, 54, of Spotswood, died Sept. 16, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Monroe Township before relocating to Spotswood. He was an assembler at Ford Motor Co., Edison, for 34 years, retiring in 2004. He was a volunteer for the Lance Armstrong Live Strong Foundation. Mr. Cenicola was predeceased by his mother, Ruth E. Erickson Cenicola, in 2003. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jacqueline Lamoreaux Cenicola; a son, Christopher N. of Edison; three daughters and one son-in-law, Melanie D. Cenicola of Union Beach, Lisa A. and George Wilson of Las Vegas, and Kelly L. Cenicola at home; his father, Nicholas J. of Rossmoor; a brother and sister-inlaw, Bruce E. and Joan of East Brunswick; a niece; and two nephews. Arrangements were by M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe Township. Memorial donations may be made to Lance Armstrong Live Strong Foundation, P.O. Box 161150, Austin, TX 78716-1150.

John F. Kotter

Mr. Kotter, 87, of East Brunswick, died Sept. 14, 2007, in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice at Roosevelt Care Center, Edison. He was a painter with Painters Local No. 834, New Brunswick, for more than 25 years. Surviving are his wife, Jean Patrick Kotter; a son, John C. Kotter of East Brunswick; and a daughter, Gail Kotter of Sayreville. Cremation was private. Arrangements were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Helen Troccoli

Mrs. Troccoli, 82, of Old Bridge, died Sept. 14, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Arthur Sr.; a son, Arthur Jr. of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; a daughter, Louise of Old Bridge; a brother, John Kuzmjak of England; three sisters, Ruth Taylor of Hopelawn, Ann Hrabar of Spotswood and Dorothy Coley of North Carolina; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

Janet A. Meszaros

Mrs. Meszaros of North Brunswick died Sept. 19, 2007, at Park Place Center, South Brunswick. Born in Barnesboro, Pa., she resided there and later in New Brunswick before relocating to North Brunswick 22 years ago. Before her retirement, Mrs. Meszaros was an operator at Alexander-Smith Rug Co., New Brunswick. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. She is survived by her husband, Kalman Meszaros; a daughter, Barbara Paone of North Brunswick; two brothers, Joseph Catanese of Stratford, Conn., and Carmen Catanese of Somerset; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church. Entombment was at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Rocco J. Adamo

Mr. Adamo, 83, of North Brunswick, died Sept. 20, 2007, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Barnesboro, Pa., he had been a resident of North Brunswick since 1948. He was a management analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense for 33 years, retiring from Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, in 1979. Following retirement, he was employed at the North Brunswick Township Police Department and at Cantone Travel Agency. Mr. Adamo served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1945, and was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. His memberships included the Knights of Columbus Monsignor Mugnano Council No. 6372; American Legion A. Leigh Pardun Post 459, North Brunswick; North Brunswick Democratic Social Club; Veterans of Foreign Wars Clark Moetz Post 2319, Milltown; and the Italian American Social Club of North Brunswick. He was also a volunteer for North Brunswick First Aid & Rescue Squad, the Board of Health, and the Office of Emergency Management. For is community service, a new North Brunswick street was named Adamo Way. Mr. Adamo is survived by his wife of 59 years, Connie Calabro Adamo; a son and daughter-inlaw, Raymond and Sharon Adamo of Miami; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, followed by entombment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to North Brunswick First Aid & Rescue Squad, P.O. Susan M. Scherer Rosen

Mrs. Rosen, 47, of East Brunswick, formerly of Matawan, died Sept. 17, 2007, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a schoolteacher with the South Brunswick Board of Education for eight years. Surviving are her husband, Gary Rosen; a son, Jeffrey, and a daughter, Amanda; a brother, William Scherer, and his wife, Lynn, of Manalapan; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Melanoma Research, 2006 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.

Ann H. Butth

Mrs. Butth, 80, of Spotswood, formerly of East Brunswick, died Sept. 17, 2007, in Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an inspector at Permacel, North Brunswick, where she worked for more than 40 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Butth. Surviving are two sisters, Ethel Coletto of Edison and Margaret Egri of Metuchen, and a brother, Ted Shaffer of the Mystic Islands section of Little Egg Harbor. A memorial service was held at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Interment of cremains was in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
