Joseph G. Tinus Sr.

Mr. Tinus, 83, of Spotswood, died Sept. 4, 2007, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Manaca, Pa., he resided in Scranton, Pa., prior to relocating to Spotswood 45 years ago. He was a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Spotswood, for 21 years, retiring in 1986. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Spotswood. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Emma Chilipko Tinus; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph G. Tinus Jr., and Gary and Carmen Tinus, all of Howell; a daughter and son-pin-law, Lori Ann and Jack Scannelli of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; a brother and sister-in-law, Jacob and Betty Tinus Jr. of New York; two sisters, Mary Hovanecs of Virginia, and Ann Phillips of Kendall Park; and four granddaughters. Arrangements were by the Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment followed at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 2600 Route 1, North Brunswick 08902.

Ellen M. Losso Longstreth

Mrs. Longstreth, 78, of North Brunswick, died Sept. 6, 2007, at home. Born in New Brunswick, she had resided in Highland Park before relocating to North Brunswick in 1967. She was a secretary at Instant Alarm Service Inc., Edison, for 23 years, retiring in 1993. She was a former member of the Edison and North Brunswick PTAs and an assistant cheerleader coach for the North Brunswick Indians and Pop Warner Football Squad. She was a member and past president of the Smarty Birds Bowling League, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Italian American Social Club of North Brunswick, the North Brunswick Pioneers, and the North Brunswick Little League Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as secretary. Mrs. Longstreth was predeceased by her husband, Dale S., in 1999; and a brother, Louis Losso. She is survived by two daughters and sons-inlaw, Sharon and Raymond Adamo of Miami, and Patricia and Brian Foley of West Windsor; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Lisa Longstreth of Jackson; a sister, Ines Apel of Allentown; and six grandchildren. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons St., P.O. Marion James Hughes

Mrs. Hughes, 86, of North Brunswick, died Sept. 3, 2007, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New York City, she had resided in Metuchen before relocating to North Brunswick 65 years ago. Before her retirement, Mrs. Hughes was a secretary at the Boy Scouts of America National Headquarters, North Brunswick. She was a member of the Reformed Church of North Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Russell Hughes, in 1999. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Susan Hughes, and Scott and Dana Hughes, all of North Brunswick; a daughter, Gail Hughes of Palm Harbor, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Swoben of Greenbelt, Md.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. Burial was at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick, was in charge of arrangements.

Rose E. Conroy Conrad

Mrs. Conrad, 63, of Spotswood, formerly of North Brunswick, died Sept. 6, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are two daughters, Christine Hudson of North Brunswick and Shanon Nason, and her husband, Len, of Spotswood; a son, Robert Hudson, and his wife, Sheila, of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton; a sister, Nancy Beach, and her husband, Robert, of Spotswood; five grandchildren; three nieces; and two greatnephews. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Peace Church, North Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Domenick Fareri

Mr. Fareri, 87, of East Brunswick, died Sept. 12, 2007, at home. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was employed as a forklift operator with Pepsi-Cola Co., North Brunswick, where he worked for more than 15 years. Before that, he ran a landscaping business. Surviving are his wife, Antonia Nastasi Fareri; two sons, Santo Fareri, and his wife, Irene, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Nick Fareri of North Brunswick; two daughters, Rose Marrone, and her husband, Frank, and Connie Corbin, and her husband, Robert, all of North Brunswick; four sisters, Teresa, Nicolina and Maria, all of Sicily, and Jennifer of France; a brother, Salvatore, of Sicily; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, New Brunswick. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057- 0007.
