Drum circle, show at So. Brunswick Senior Center

The South Brunswick Senior Center, Route 522, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, will hold a Drum Circle Workshop Sept. 10 and 24, and Oct. 15 and 29 at 12:30 p.m.

The program is open to new members that reside in South Brunswick and are age 55 and older. Attendees will play drums as well as drum rattles, shakers, claves, bells and anything item that makes a noise by shaking, smacking and banging. Drums and instruments are provided, and fee is $5 for four weeks.

An arts and crafts show will be Sept. 27 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Needlework, ceramics, photography, paintings, and handmade items will be accepted for the exhibit. Entry blanks are available at the senior center, and drop off will be 9 a.m.

The lecture "George Segal" will be given by artist and historian Maurice Mahler on Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. Participants are eligible to win door prizes, and a chance to win a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City.
