Barbara Phyllis Friedman

Miss Friedman, 64, of North Brunswick, died July 18, 2007, at home. Born in Newark, she resided in California prior to relocating to North Brunswick more than 15 years ago. She was a retired office manager. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Phyllis Friedman of Freehold; a niece; a nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service was at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Josephine Sarracco Liberti

Mrs. Liberti, 93, of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, died July 19, 2007, at Merwick Rehabilitation and Care Center, Princeton. Born in New York City, she resided in North Brunswick, and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., prior to relocating to Monmouth Junction 15 years ago. She was a supervisor at "Boy's Life Magazine" at the Boy Scouts of America National Headquarters, North Brunswick, for 18 years, retiring n 1972. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Monmouth Junction. She was a member of South Brunswick Senior Citizens Club, and the adult day care at The Gallery at Buckingham Place, South Brunswick. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael in 1976. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph Liberti of Monmouth Junction, and Jerry and Carol Liberty of Reno, Nev.; a sister, Helen Bonomo of Woodmere, N.Y.; and two grandsons. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Cecilia's Church. Burial was at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Joseph John Fryzowicz

Mr. Fryzowicz, 65, of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, died July 21, 2007, at Saint Peter's University Medical Center, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Old Bridge prior to relocating to Dayton 35 years ago. He was a maintenance supervisor at the NJ Turnpike Authority for 44 years, retiring in 2002. He served with the U.S. navy from 1963-67, and with the Navy Seabees MCB7 in Viet Nam in 1966. He enjoyed carpentry, and was an avid fan of the New York Jets and Mets. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth Herrmann Fryzowicz; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Daniel Goldman and Greg Goldman, both of Dayton, and Wayne and Patricia Goldman of Hamilton; a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Christopher DiStefano of East Brunswick; a brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Grace Fryzowicz of Spotswood; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A funeral liturgy was held at Spotswood Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Foundation, 254 Easton Ave., New Brunswick 08901.

John G. Kwiatkowski

Mr. Kwiatkowski, 98, of South River, formerly of Helmetta, died July 25, 2007. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a tool and die maker with George W. Helme Co., Helmetta. His wife, Anna Wasilewski Kwiatkowski, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, William Kwiatkowski, and his wife, Virginia, of North Brunswick; four grandchildren, Donna Kwiatkowski-Belt, David Kwiatkowski, Annmarie Zoufaly and William Kwiatkowski Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Isabelle Liteplo

Mrs. Liteplo, 87, of East Brunswick, died July 24, 2007, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an aide with the East Brunswick school system. She taught stained-glass making, doll making and quilting in North Brunswick and East Brunswick. Her husband, Joseph Liteplo, died in 1963. Surviving are two sons, Robert Liteplo and Ronald Liteplo, both of East Brunswick; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Beverly National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Garth R. Garnett

Mr. Garnett, 48, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died July 17, 2007, at his campsite in Green Bank. Born in Macon, Ga., he resided in Ridgefield, Conn., prior to relocating to Kendall Park 23 years ago. He was employed at Bamco Construction Inc., Middlesex, for more than eight years. Prior to that, he was a jewelry appraiser at Simms Jewelers, Bernardsville. He was predeceased by his parents, Barbara Jo and Thomas Garnett. He is survived by his wife, Gena Vite Garnett; a stepson, Frank Gorbe of Kendall Park; a brother, Richard Garnett of Highland, N.Y.; his brother-in-law, Derek Dickinson of North Brunswick; two nephews; and two nieces. Burial was at Ridgebury Cemetery, Ridgefield, Conn. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

Ernest Howard Kittredge

Mr. Kittredge, 78, of South Brunswick, died July 18, 2007, at Park Place Care Center, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Princeton prior to relocating to South Brunswick 35 years ago. He was an independent package designer and graphic artist in New York City. Following retirement, he was a tutor for the Literacy Volunteers of Middlesex County. He enjoyed photography, Broadway musicals, and playing the piano. He was a member of the Friends of South Brunswick Public Library. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan; a son and daughter-in-law, Neil P. Kittredge and Kirsten Shaw of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a grandson. Burial was in York, Maine. Arrangements were by M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, Monmouth Junction. Frank F. Pellicane

Mr. Pellicane, 83, of North Brunswick, died July 21, 2007, at home following a lengthy illness. Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of the area. he was manager of laundry services at Bristol-Myers Squibb, New Brunswick, for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was a corporal with the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne and took part in the Normandy Invasion and Battle of the Bulge. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virginia Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. He was a member of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Quarter Century Club. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorraine Weischadle Pellicane; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Church. Burial was at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
