For the Record

In last week's article "Senate candidate off to controversial start," Democratic campaign manager John Duthie was incorrectly quoted as saying Seema Singh, as ratepayer advocate, "squashed the Exxon merger." The company he spoke of was Exelon, in reference to the company's proposed merger with PSE&G.

It was incorrectly reported in the June 21 issue that South Brunswick Schools Superintendent Gary McCartney received a $15,883 raise. This number was reached by mistakenly comparing his new salary to his salary in the 2005-06 school year. McCartney's actual raise this year comes to 4.5 percent, or $8,116.
