Vikings' Young picks Felician

FILE PHOTO South Brunswick's Devon Young will continue his playing career at Felician College after a brilliant senior season in which he led the Vikings to a 27-3 record.
RUTHERFORD - South Brunswick High school senior Devon Young of Monmouth Junction has signed a national letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Felician College, Golden Falcons head men's coach Del Harrison announced recently.

Young, a 6-foot-3 guard, was the 2007 Middlesex County Player of the Year for coach Chris Balent at South Brunswick High. He was also a First Team All-Area and Second Team All-State Group 4 selection. He helped lead the 2006-07 Vikings to a 27-3 won-lost record and a No. 9 state ranking. Young, a National Honor Society member, also plays for the AAU Central Jersey Jammers. He is the son of Albert and Debra Young and expects to major in accounting.

Felician, an NCAA Division II program, qualified for its sixth consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament last season.
