Some of area's top high school kegglers bowl for good cause

Prodigal Foundation Inc. held its First Annual Masters Bowling Tournament on Friday, June 1, at the Woodbridge Bowling Center in Woodbridge.

High school students from throughout Middlesex County competed in this fundraiser to benefit children who have been adversely affected by cancer. Trophies were awarded for high game and high set in both boys and girls divisions for first, second and third place.

Appreciation awards were also presented to Matt Lapp of Woodbridge and Caitlyn Timson of East Brunswick for raising the highest amount in sponsorships for entering the tournament.

Boys High Game

Girls High Game

1- Kellie Kocher, Woodbridge, 246

and Kelly Daunno, Carteret, 246

2- Melissa Koger, Perth Amboy, 237

3- Lacey Thome, Colonia, 235

Boys High Set

1- Terrance Williams, Piscataway, 707

2- Paul St. Marie, St. Joseph, 673

3- John Kociolek, Woodbridge, 666

Girls High Set

1- Caitlin Timson, East Brunswick, 639

2- Jennifer Daunno, Carteret, 614

3- Nicole Caggiano, Woodbridge, 612

The Masters Bowling Tournament for Prodigal Foundation Inc. was coordinated with head coach Mike Yannazzo of Woodbridge High School and head coach Ralph Fech of South Plainfield High School along with the staff of Prodigal Foundation Inc.

Prodigal Foundation Inc. would like to thank all of the participants, high school bowling coaches along with the Woodbridge Bowling Center for making this a successful event.

George Yuhasz, president of Prodigal Foundation, said, "We are pleased with the turnout we had this year and we are looking forward to expanding it next year."
