Joseph A. Duca Jr., a former resident of South Brunswick, has graduated from the 83rd Basic Class for Full-Time Police Professionals at the Criminal Justice Training Council Vermont Police Academy, Piffsford, Vt.

Duca completed 16 weeks of instruction, physical training, and practical application of lessons learned, and is a trooper with the Vermont State Police assigned to the Rutland Barracks. A 2001 graduate of South Brunswick High School, he received his degree at Ithaca (N.Y.) College. He is the son of Kathy and Joe Duca, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.
