Three flashing incidents reported in same vicinity
BY CHRIS GAETANO
Staff Writer

SOUTH BRUNSWICK - Maybe it was the weather. It's difficult to believe that such a thing would have happened in the cold winter's chill. But as the spring turned the air from frigid to mild, one man took a chance to show township residents what he was made of.

Police are currently searching for this man, who is said to have exposed himself three times in the past two weeks.

On May 20, the day of the most recent incident, it was 59 degrees at 11:15 p.m. A woman in her Buttonwood Court home heard a knock at her front door, but right after, the visitor moved to the back of the house. According to police, the woman then saw a white or Hispanic male in his mid 20s, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, standing near the back of her house.

He had no pants on. He was, however, wearing a green T-shirt that was stretched over and behind his head in what police say was an attempt to protect his identity. He is said to have brown hair and brown eyes. It could not be determined which way he fled.

Last Thursday a similar incident took place on Shadow Oaks Court. Both courts lead back to a walking path where the suspect appears to have been approaching from.

On May 1, a woman in her home on Cedar Court had a similar experience. At about 11 p.m., she heard someone knocking at the back window of her house, though dismissed it as the wind. She then heard the knocking a second time. Stepping outside, she saw a naked man in a hat, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, standing in her yard. She went back inside, locked the doors and called the police. When authorities searched the area, the man was gone.

The incidents all took place in housing developments off Route 1. Anyone with additional information is asked to please call the South Brunswick police at (732) 329-4646.
