Heart attack survivor urges others to 'Go Red'

I am a wife, I am a mother. I am a heart attack. I am chest pains and chest discomfort. I am only 51 years old. I am a heart attack. I am nausea and pain radiating to my back. I am a beset friend. I am laughter and love. I am a heart attack.

I am a woman. I am your neighbor. I am a heart attack. I am fear and anxiety. I am in a hospital for seven days. I am two arteries severely blocked. I am memories past and present. I am a heart attack. I am angioplasty and two cardiac stents. I am alive.

I am fortunate. I am grateful. I am a survivor. I am the American heart Association Go Red for Women movement. I am the "legacy celebration" of the fifth annual American Heart Association New Jersey Go Red for Women luncheon May 7.

Love your heart. Change your life. Join me and 500 women from across New Jersey for a day of inspiration, passion, education and special moments May 7 for the American Heart Association Go Red for Women luncheon. Learn more by calling (609) 223-3727.
