So. Bruns. man charged in sexual assault of boy, 7 EAST BRUNSWICK - Police arrested a South Brunswick man Friday on charges he sexually assaulted a 7-year-old boy in the bathroom of the Macy's department store in the Brunswick Square Mall. Authorities charged that Charles Waldron, 28, of Ridge Road in the Dayton section, sexually assaulted a boy who went unaccompanied into the bathroom while shopping with his mother. Waldron, who was already inside the bathroom, exposed himself to the boy and performed oral sex on the victim, according to the allegations. After leaving the bathroom, the boy told his mother what happened, and she notified Macy's security staff and the East Brunswick police. Responding officers arrested Waldron while he was still inside the store. After an investigation conducted by the East Brunswick Police Detective Bureau and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Sex Crimes Child Abuse Unit, Waldron was charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Police said the charges stem partly from statements made by the alleged victim and witnesses, as well as corroborative information gathered during the investigation. State Superior Court Judge Barbara Stolte set Waldron's bail at $300,000, with no 10 percent option, and he is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center, North Brunswick. Authorities asked that any information regarding the investigation or similar incidents contact East Brunswick Detective Eric Raps at (732) 390-6900 or Karleen Duca of the county Prosecutor's Office at (732) 745-3600.
