Obituaries Francis "Frank" E. Gotaski Mr. Gotaski, 71, of North Brunswick, died Oct. 23, 2006, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Shamokin, Pa., he resided in New Brunswick, prior to moving to North Brunswick in 1972. He was a teacher at Perth Amboy Vocational and Technical High School for 17 years, retiring in 1998. Prior to that, he was a painter for several years in New Brunswick. He served with the U.S. Army from 1957-59 in Stuttgart, Germany. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid fan of the Rutgers Scarlet Knight football team. He was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Gotaskie London in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Kohler Gotaski; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bradford Pastrick of North Brunswick, and Samantha and David Seavers of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Rita Sosnoskie of Shamokin, Pa., and Mae and Raymond Savage of Clark Summit, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Barbara Gotaskie of Sunbury, Pa.; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be Oct. 26 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A funeral service will be Oct. 27 at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Walter J. Fitzgerald Mr. Fitzgerald, 86, of Monroe Township, died Oct. 14, 2006, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Chicago, he resided in North Brunswick, prior to moving to Monroe Township in 1997. He was the owner of Walter J. Fitzgerald Company, North Brunswick, where he was a manufacturer's representative in the natural gas industry for 33 years, retiring in 1989. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Brunswick. He enjoyed dancing and photographer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine Keller Fitzgerald; a son and daughter-in-law, Warren K. and Sandy Fitzgerald of Monroe Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Greg Mueller of South Brunswick; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick, followed by interment at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, Pa. Jennie J. Telleri Lovas Mrs. Lovas, 83, of Piscataway, died Oct. 14, 2006, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. Surviving are her husband, Richard Lovas; eight sisters, Josephine Hall, Grace Manfre, Lucy R. Bisso and Connie Brusca, all of North Brunswick, Millie Romer, Rose Eden and Mary Telleri, all of New Brunswick, and Helen Perrone of Piscataway; and a brother, Grant Telleri of Milltown. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, New Brunswick. Entombment was in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Francis P. "Wally" Tighe Mr. Tighe, 87, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Oct. 22, 2006, at home. Born in New York City, he resided in Staten Island, N.Y., and South Amboy, prior to moving to Parlin 52 years ago. He was a security supervisor at Ford Motor Co., Edison, for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was also an assistant at The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, and a driver at two liveries. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, South Amboy. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Benyei Connors Chapter 67, and Ancient Order of Hibernians, both South Amboy. He was also a member of the Sayreville Senior Citizens Thursday Club, and Ford Retirees Club. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anne Walsh Tighe in 1972; a son, Edward Tighe in 1989; two brothers, John and James Tighe; and three sisters, Margaret Chase, Marie Pickett and Rita Tighe. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dube Tighe; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Leslie Tighe of South Amboy, and Thomas and Diane Tighe of Sayreville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathleen Tighe of North Brunswick; Patricia and Ben Herren of Kihei, Hawaii, and Elizabeth and Jonathon Bravman of Denver; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be Oct. 26 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary's Church. Interment followed at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Langrehr Derosiers Mrs. Derosiers, 77, of Monroe, died Oct. 8, 2006, at Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. Born in Jersey City, she had resided in Old Bridge before moving to Monroe in 1993. Prior to her retirement in 1993, Mrs. Derosiers was a receptionist for Bristol-Myers Squibb, Lawrenceville. She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 177, Old Bridge. Mrs. Derosiers was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Herbert Langrehr; and a sister, Audrey Rusnock. Surviving are a son, Mark Kjelle of Lake Butler, Fla.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Christine and Stanley Locha of North Brunswick, Tina Clements of Jamesburg, and Helene and Dennis Brizak of Monroe; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Marano-Kjelle; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, followed by interment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.
Betty Jane Lauritsen Miller Mrs. Miller, 76, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Oct. 16, 2006, at home. Born in South Amboy, she resided in Parlin the past 44 years. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy. She was a member of the Sayreville Senior Citizens Tuesday Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Miller in 1998. She is survived by a son, Christian R. Miller of South Brunswick; a daughter, Susan E. Miller of Metuchen; a brother, Norman Lauritsen of Rahway; three sisters, Madeline DeLuccia and Elsie Samuelsen, both of South Amboy, and Emily Grande of Bayville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A requiem Eucharist was held at Christ Church, followed by interment at the church's cemetery. Arrangements were by The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy.
