Kean will help alter New Jersey's image

In a recent telephone interview with the Associated Press, U.S. Senate candidate Robert Menendez called himself the "GOP's worst nightmare." As a registered Democrat, the thought of Menendez being my senator is my worst nightmare. Like his mentor and Democratic Party boss John Lynch, Menendez is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

It seems anything is acceptable if you are a Democrat in New Jersey. Perhaps that is why the Almanac of American Politics has labeled New Jersey as "the nation's most corrupt state." According to a national survey released in 2004 by the Washington-based Corporate Crime Reporter Newsletter, New Jersey actually ranks 16th in the country in terms of impropriety of government officials. That survey was taken more than two years ago. Now that former Democratic Sen. John Lynch is going to prison, we may be No. 1!

I urge every concerned citizen to vote for Republican Tom Kean Jr. for senator and help to alter New Jersey's image as one of the most corrupt states in the nation. If Tom Kean Jr. is not elected, we can expect the same corruption New Jersey is known for. Your vote can make the difference.
