As senator, Kean will help 'get our house in order'

Sen. Robert Menendez's latest TV commercial states if President George W. Bush won't stand up for security in New Jersey, he will. If Menendez is really concerned about security in New Jersey, why didn't he appear on TV and question Democratic Gov. James McGreevey when he put his lover, Golan Cipal, an Israeli, in charge of homeland security?

The F.B.I. said he needed an American citizen for that position. This happened just after 9/11 and our Democratic governor put the entire state of New Jersey in jeopardy.

Where was Menendez? Where was Menendez when Democratic President Bill Clinton did nothing when the World Trade Center was attacked the first time or when the U.S.S. Cole was attacked? Could it be Menendez didn't say anything because Clinton and McGreevey are both Democrats? If Clinton had taken action when we were attacked the first time, we may not have been attacked the second time.

Like former state Sen. John Lynch - the man that picked Menendez for governor - his records have been subpoenaed by the F.B.I.

Instead of standing up for something, I think Menendez should step down.

When Lynch pleaded guilty to tax evasion and fraud, Gov. Jon Corzine said, "We need to get our house in order." Corzine is 100 percent right and that will only happen when Tom Kean Jr. is elected senator.
