Eye program at E.B. Senior Center July 19

The East Brunswick Senior Center/Department on Aging, 3 Jean Walling Civic Center, will host a program by My Eye Health, "Teaching Seniors to Help Preserve Their Vision" July 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The program will address age-related macular degeneration (AMD) that affects individuals older than age 50 most often, and is the leading cause of blindness in Americans age 60 and older. Individuals at-risk can test vision with a self-monitoring tool. My Eye Health is a national campaign to increase awareness and educate the public about AMD, and is sponsored by Prevent Blindness America.

For more information, call (866) 702-3937. To receive a free home self-monitoring tool or for more information, visit www.myeyehealth.org.
