Business Briefs K. Hovnanian Homes, Edison, has announced the promotion of Michael Villane, Robert Hofmann, and William Cadigan. Villane and Hofmann. Both men will oversee land acquisition and approvals processes as well as the construction and sales operations in different parts of New Jersey. Hofmann's area includes Monmouth County, and Villane will oversee the Middlesex and Mercer counties, as well as parts of Hunterdon, Somerset and Union counties. Cadigan was named to succeed Villane as region vice president-operations. He will oversee various operations that support the company's home-building operations in New Jersey and New York, including architecture, purchasing, marketing and sales, public relations and homeowner services. Villane joined the company in 1989. He has a bachelor's degree in communications from The Ohio State University, Columbus, completed the New Jersey Real Estate Class and is a certified sales professional. Hofmann has been with the company since 1992. He has a bachelor of science from Clemson (S.C.) University. An associate since 1993, Cadigan began as a construction superintendent, was promoted to construction manager in 1996, then to community builder in 1999. He most recently served as vice president of purchasing. Hovnanian's parent company, Hovnanian Enterprises Inc., is headquartered in Red Bank.
180, Turning Lives Around Inc., Hazlet, has received a donation of 425 items including toiletries, household goods, blankets, and linens from several middle and high school students in Middlesex and Mercer counties. The donation is for 180's Safe House program, which provides shelter and assistance to victims of domestic violence. The students are youth ambassadors representing People to People International, a global organization dedicated to enhancing understanding and friendship through educational, cultural, and humanitarian activities.
