Frances LaDuca Mondi

Mrs. Mondi, 87, of North Brunswick, died Feb. 12 at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New York City, she relocated to North Brunswick 57 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. She was a member of the North Brunswick Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis J. Mondi in 1993. She is survived by a son, Santo Mondi of Monroe Township; a daughter, Carol Camparscone of Wall Township; a brother, Anthony LaDuca of Warren, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Canastra of North Brunswick, and Rose Sinagra of Florida; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Feb. 16 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A funeral service will be Feb. 17 at 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Entombment will be at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

Lenard Ross

Mr. Ross, 74, of Lake Worth, Fla., died Feb. 3 in JFK Hospital Lauer Hospice Unit, Lantana, Fla. Surviving are his wife, Diana Nash Ross; two sons, Robert of Sayreville and Ronald of the Dayton section of South Brunswick; a sister, Arlene Garrett of Florida; and five grandchildren. Graveside services were held at King Solomon Memorial Park, Clifton. Arrangements were under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Jersey hospice of one’s choice.

Helen A. Oldakowski Schall

Mrs. Schall, 58, of Matawan, died Feb. 10 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Carteret, she resided in New Jersey most of her life. Mrs. Schall was a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Kelly and James Zinno of Matawan, Natalie and Joseph Mozdzen of Sayreville, and William and Penny Paparteys of Browns Mills; her mother, Natalie Kutcher of North Brunswick; four sisters, Donna Adamczyk of Cranford, Natalie Burke of Jackson, Patty Magnani of Sayreville, and Lauren Kutcher of North Brunswick; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Burial took place at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. The Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, was in charge of arrangements.

Gilbert J. Chabre

Mr. Chabre, 78, of South River, formerly of North Brunswick and the Somerset section of Franklin, died Feb. 10 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Doris Shutowich Chabre; six children, Janice Rosario of Perth Amboy, Joseph Chabre of Somerset, Nanetta Lovell of Lake Mary, Fla., Noella Perry of Lakewood, and Stacy Chabre and Steven Chabre, both of South River; two brothers, Claude Chabre of Calais, Maine, and Pierre Chabre of Newport, Maine; three sisters, Joan Peterson of Zephyr Hills, Fla., Gertrude Perry of Limestone, Maine, and Loretta Lindow of Webster, Fla.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Cremation was private.

Antoinette DeBartolo

Mrs. DeBartolo, 80, of Milltown, formerly of North Brunswick, died Feb. 8 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Robert, died in 2003. Surviving are three sons, John F. of Neptune, Robert C. of Morristown and Thomas J. of the Toms River section of Dover; a sister, Lorraine Darwish of North Brunswick; a brother, James Pepitone of Edison; a brother-in-law, Joe DeBartolo of New Brunswick; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Saint Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
