Obituaries Joseph J. McAndrew Mr. McAndrew, 75, of Old Bridge, died Dec. 24 at home. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was employed with General Motors, A.C. Delco Division, North Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Nebesho McAndrew; three sons, John of Milltown and Joseph and Gerald, both of Old Bridge; a daughter, Lorraine McAndrew of Old Bridge; a brother, Paul McAndrew of Coopersburg, Pa.; two sisters, Catherine Devers of Collingwood, Pa., and Rita Wachs of Pittston, Pa.; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Shrine, 512 W. Saratoga St., Baltimore, MD 21201. Edna Barbara Pisinski Kuchtyak Mrs. Kuchtyak, 80, of Sun City West, Ariz., formerly of South River and North Brunswick, died Dec. 22 in Sun City West. She owned Towne Flower Shop, South River area, for more than 30 years. Before that, she worked as a film developer with DuPont Photo Products, Parlin section of Sayreville. She was later employed with Spode Porcelain and China Co., East Brunswick, where she worked until her retirement in 1989. She was predeceased by her husband, John Vincent. Surviving are a daughter, Galemarie of Sun City West, with whom she lived; two sisters, Stella Fulham and Pauline B. Pisinski, both of South River; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Constance Kuchtyak of Sun City West; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. David Adley Clark Mr. Clark, 42, of Old Bridge, formerly of Spotswood and South River, died Dec. 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed as an electrician for the past six years at Cioffe Electric, Kendall Park section of South Brunswick. His father, Everett L. Clark, died in 2004. Surviving are his companion, Denise Thomas of Old Bridge; his mother and stepfather, Frances and David Nace of Worcester, Mass.; three sisters, Beth Theriault and Margaret Clark, both of Worcester, and Amy Velazquez of the Avenel section of Woodbridge; his grandfather, Joseph Gresh of Spotswood; and a nephew and two nieces. A graveside memorial service was held at Reformed Church Cemetery, Spotswood. Cremation was private. Arrangements were under the direction of Eckman Funeral Home, Spotswood.
Clare Hooper Rathbun Mrs. Rathbun, 79, of Sayreville, died Dec. 26 in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Prior to her retirement, she worked for several years at John B. Moore, Sayreville. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace A. Rathbun. Surviving are six children, William Rathbun of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, Marie Davis of Snowflake, Ariz., Robert Rathbun of Sayreville, Anne Mataranglo of Greenville, S.C., and Betty Kumpa and Thomas Rathbun, both of South Amboy; and 18 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 65 James St., Edison, NJ 08818.
