Auditions

The Theatre Guild of Old Bridge Players will hold auditions for adults (ages 16 and older) for “Snow White,” Jan. 4-5, 7:30-9:30 p.m., at the new Carl Sandburg Middle School (formerly known as Old Bridge High School West), Route 516, Old Bridge. The Yardley Players will hold auditions for “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” at Mercer County Community College, Jan. 7-8 from noon to 4 p.m. The show is directed by Howard Matter. The audition room location will be posted at Kelsey Theatre on the college campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor.

Those auditioning must at least 10 years of age and should be prepared to read from the script. They should also bring a résumé and recent photo. Performance dates are April 7 at 7 p.m., April 8 at 2 and 4 p.m., and April 9 at 2 and 4 p.m., at the Kelsey Theatre. Auditions are by appointment only; call Marge, (215) 968-1904.

Over the Rainbow Productions will hold auditions for the comedy “Rosencrantz and Gildenstern Are Dead” Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Eatontown Playhouse, Route 35, Eatontown. Performances will be in March. Details: Debby, (732) 888-0339.

Also, the Children’s Entertainment Series will hold auditions for “Hansel and Gretel” and “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” Jan. 13, 5-7 p.m., at the Eatontown Playhouse. Show dates are in February. And, auditions for “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” will be held Jan. 24, 5-7 p.m., at the playhouse. Show dates are in March. Details: Debby, (732) 888-0339.

Spotlight Players will hold auditions for the musical “Bye Bye Birdie,” Jan. 11 from 7-9 p.m. and Jan. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, Route 34 and Franklin Street, Matawan. Many roles are available for adults and teens ages 12 and up. One young boy under the age of 12 is also needed. Those auditioning should bring sheet music in their key and wear comfortable clothing, since a dance audition may be required. Mighty Oak Players will hold auditions for “Rodgers & Hart: A Celebration,” directed by Jeff Babey with music directed by Jenifer Alagna, Jan. 17-18 at 7 p.m. at the Richard Marasco Performing Arts Center at Monroe Township High School. 1629 Perrineville Road, Monroe Township. Callbacks will be Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. Snow date is Jan. 20. Needed are six men and six women of all vocal ranges. Those auditioning should bring their own sheet music and be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song (preferably Rodgers and Hart). Show dates are March 24, 26, April 1-2. Details: (732) 521-3782.

Ocean County College Theater Company will hold open auditions for the spring production of “The Exonerated” by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, directed by Arthur Waldman. Available parts are seven males (three African Americans), and three females (one African American). Auditions will be held at the OCC Fine Arts Center Theatre, College Drive, Toms River, Jan. 23-24 at 7:30 p.m. Callbacks will be Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Performance dates are March 9-11, 17-18 at 8 p.m. and March 12 at 2 p.m.
