Sabina Iwanski

Mrs. Iwanski, 81, of North Brunswick, died July 21 at home. Born in Bodzanów, Poland, she immigrated to the United States in 1962, and resided in New Brunswick and South River prior to moving to North Brunswick in 1972. She was employed at Louis Lefkowitz, New Brunswick and Milltown, for 25 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Mary’s of Ostrabrama Roman Catholic Church, South River. She as a member of Polish Veterans Placówka No. 208, South River. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wincenty Iwanski; a son and daughter-in-law, Józef and Antoinette Iwanski of North Brunswick; a daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Allan Curley of Freehold; a brother and sister-in-law, Józef and Irene Szewczak of New Brunswick; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. Arrangements were by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.

Hilda Sherwood

Mrs. Sherwood, 87, of North Brunswick, died July 27 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Philadelphia, she resided in East Brunswick prior to moving to North Brunswick six years ago. An avid volunteer, she assisted at the North Brunswick Division of Youth and Family Services, North Brunswick Municipal Building, and North Brunswick Library. She advocated for placing park benches at the library, and was establishing a bus shelter on Hermann Road. She is survived by a daughter, Harriet Slonim of East Brunswick; and two grandchildren. Interment was at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Arrangements were by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Memorial donations may be made to Interfaith Network, 62 S. Main St., Milltown 08850.

Rita Witkowski Krause

Mrs. Krause, 79, of Milltown, died July 30 at home. Prior to her retirement, she worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad freight station, Helmetta; the Helmetta snuff mill; and E.J. Korvette, North Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Earl Krause Jr.; a son, Earl M. of East Brunswick; a daughter, Cheryl Franklin of the Leonardo section of Middletown; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey, 11 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07712.

Sophie Yanowsky Suskevich

Mrs. Suskevich, 88, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, formerly of South River, died July 28 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Suskevich. Surviving are two daughters, Zena Horvath of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick and Elizabeth McCluskey of Greenville, S.C.; two brothers, John Alexander of Long Beach Island and Nicholas Yanowsky of Springfield, Va.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A service was held at Sts. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery. John T. Lupco

Mr. Lupco, 42, of Hillsborough, formerly of East Brunswick, died July 23 of injuries sustained in a car-racing accident at Atco Raceway, Atco section of Waterford. He was the owner of Highline Automotive, South Brunswick. His father, John M. Lupco, died in 2000. Surviving are his wife, Marie Leepin Lupco; a daughter, Saige, at home; his mother, Theresa Midas Lupco of East Brunswick; and three sisters, Carol Genito of North Brunswick, Sandra Haremza of Eastampton and Susan Micale of Spotswood. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Neshanic Cemetery, Neshanic section of Branchburg.

Isidore A. Chibbaro

Mr. Chibbaro, 88, of North Brunswick, died Aug. 9 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, he resided there prior to moving to North Brunswick more than 60 years ago. He was a salesman at Miller and Knapp Electrical Supply, Edison, for more than 30 years, retiring in 1992. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Clark-Moetz Post No. 2319, Milltown, and St. Sebastian Post No. 405, Catholic War Veterans of New Brunswick. He is survived by his wife, Janet E. Pasternak Chibbaro; a son, Rudolph Chibbaro of North Brunswick; a daughter, Maryann Chibbaro of Washington Crossing, Pa.; two sisters, Christina Dispensa of Florida, and Martha Reszko of Perth Amboy; two brothers, Anthony Chibbaro of Nokomis, Fla., and William Chibbaro of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Aug. 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A funeral service will be Aug. 13 at 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.

Jane Waldorph Dunn

Mrs. Dunn, 92, of Sturbridge, Mass., died Aug. 6 at Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, Mass. Born in East Orange, she resided in Highland Park and North Brunswick prior to moving to Sturbridge in 1998. She was a secretary at Dunn and Dunn Appliance Store, New Brunswick, prior to retirement. She was a member of Sturbridge Federated Church, and former member of the First Reformed Church of New Brunswick. She was a member of the Sturbridge Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Everett A. Dunn in 1971; and a son, Thomas S. Dunn of York, Maine, in January. She is survived by two sons, James W. Dunn of Sturbridge, Mass., and E. Alton Dunn Jr. of Seaside Heights; a daughter Evelyn Norland of Cranbury; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery, North Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to Joshua Hyde Library, Sturbridge MA 01566.

Frances E. Morow Schulz

Mrs. Schulz, 84, of Spotswood, formerly of Sayreville and Milltown, died July 31 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Nicholas E. Schulz, died in 1991. Surviving are two daughters, Diane Costigan of Warren, Mich., and Carol Gumpper of East Brunswick; four brothers, Fred Morrow of East Brunswick, Richard Morrow of the Columbus section of Mansfield, Edward Morrow of Lakehurst and William Morrow of Old Bridge; five sisters, Dorothy Gombas of North Brunswick, Jean Borweigan of East Brunswick, Laverne Mazor of South River, Phyllis Mertz of Plainsboro and Madeline Swing of Lexington, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.
