Second Language Literacy and Learning Connection, a new company to the central New Jersey area, offers various language programs to all age groups. The Chamber’s 13th annual “Largest Networking Party” will be Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency, Albany Street, New Brunswick. Guest speaker Jennifer Santos-Kraft will discuss breastfeeding, and Dr. Alicia Dermer, M.D., will discuss the introduction of baby’s first foods and feeding other foods while breastfeeding. Magyar Bank, New Brunswick, has announced its president and CEO, Elizabeth E. Hance, recently received a diploma from the National School of Banking of America’s Community Bankers. Hance graduated with honors and was one of the 32-member graduating class. America’s Community Bankers represents community banks nationwide. The National School of Banking consists of three 10-day sessions spread over two years at Fairfield (Conn.) University. Magyar Bank has offices in New Brunswick, North Brunswick and South Brunswick.

Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick, has announced it recently added hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to its wound care center. The facility installed two HBOT chambers and is among the first hospitals locally to offer the treatment for nonhealing wounds. It is a painless and noninvasive treatment, and highly effective in treating chronic wounds. As of July, the hospital’s wound care center and hyperbaric services program healed approximately 91 percent of patients that completed the 21-day treatments, with a 100 percent patient-satisfaction rating.
