North Brunswick Dems to hold rally Oct. 21

The North Brunswick Democratic Club will have a rally Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Democratic headquarters at Route 1 south. Democratic Council candidates are Ralph Andrews and Cathy Nicola. Refreshments will be served. For more information, e-mail David Sirna, club president at sirna3@aol.com.

‘Life Resources Fair’

at St. Barnabas Oct. 23

St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will hold its first “Life Resources Fair” Oct. 23 from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. The free fair will be at the church at 142 Sand Hill Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

It will consist of workshops covering financial planning, the college admissions process and financial aid process, financial skills for teens and “twenty-somethings,” stress reduction and healthy eating, and wills, guardianships and planned giving. Free child care and refreshments will be available throughout the day. Free chair massages by a certified therapist will be available, as will blood pressure screenings.

Workshop presenters include a tax preparer, director of admissions, financial planner, attorneys, a stockbroker, and former business teacher. Also participating will be Rev. Barbara A.D. Jensen St. Barnabas deacon, and the Rev. Francis A. Hubbard, rector of St. Barnabas.
