      annual art auction

      St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, 10 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, will hold its third annual art auction Oct. 28. The preview will be at 2:30 p.m., and the auction begins at 3:30 p.m.

      Cost is $10 per person or $15 per couple, with proceeds benefiting St. Cecilia’s religious education program. The auction will be conducted by Marlin Art Inc., N.Y.

      School to sponsor ‘Enchanted Trail’ Oct. 26

      St. Augustine of Canterbury School HSA, Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, will sponsor the third annual "Enchanted Trail" at the Dardani Haunted Trail and Bizarre Oct. 26-27 from 6:30 -10 p.m. Admission is $2 and the trail is in the woods of Woodlot Park, New Road, Kendall Park.       Talent show auditions slated for Oct. 30, Nov. 1

      Singers, dancers, comedians and other performers are being sought to audition Oct. 30 and Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. for the talent show "Celebrate North Brunswick 2002."

      Auditions will be at the commons of North Brunswick Township High School, Raider Road and Route 130, and audition cost is $10 per person or group. There will be categories for children, teen-agers and adults.

      A final talent show will be held Dec. 9 at 2 p.m., with the show’s winners performing at "Celebrate North Brunswick 2002" on New Year’s Eve. The event is North Brunswick’s first family-oriented, alcohol-free New Year’s Eve celebration.

      Support group to hold first meeting Oct. 26

      Care-to-Walk/Run, North Brunswick, will hold its first cancer survivor support group meeting Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at its office at the North Brunswick Municipal Building on Hermann Road.

      The group will meet for six sessions, and no fee is charged. Call (732) 297-1090, ext. 6.

      St. Augustine’s craft show, flea market Nov. 3

      St. Augustine School, Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, will hold its annual fall craft show and flea market Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school at 45 Henderson Road.

      Admission is $1 per car, which includes a raffle ticket for the main prize drawing. Tables are still available for the event. Call (732) 821-6779.
