County to sponsor two

free concerts on Aug. 25

The Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Department of Parks and Recreation will present two free summer concerts on Aug. 25.

The Regency Ramblers Dixieland Band will perform from 2-3:30 p.m. at the gazebo next to the lake in Thompson Park, Forsgate Drive, Monroe.

The Tim Gillis Band will present an evening of country-Western music from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Raritan Bay Waterfront Park, O’Leary Boulevard, South Amboy.

The Polish-American Congress, New Jersey Division, will sponsor its Polonia Day celebration beginning at 1 p.m. on Aug. 22 at the Polish Veterans Picnic Grounds, 209 William St., South River.
The event will feature volleyball, baseball, face painting, activities, Polish food, a clown on stilts and dance music by Andrzy Mazur. An outdoor Mass is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults;
children under age 12 will be
admitted free of charge.
