For the Record

An editing error in the May 20 edition of the Sentinel significantly changed the meaning of a statement attributed to North Brunswick resident Mary Salva at the May 17 Township Council meeting.

After a review of a tape recording of the meeting, the correct statement by Salva was:

"One cat on my property is too many. My dog flies. He is faster than me. My dog ran into the backyard and flipped one of the kittens in the air. It was pathetic, really. It didn’t have a chance."

The Sentinel regrets the error and did not mean to suggest Salva intentionally harmed an animal.
