Governor’s program winners announced

South Brunswick Township Public Schools recently announced its Middlesex County 2004 annual Governor’s Teacher Recognition Program winners. The program acknowledges teachers exhibiting outstanding performance who have touched the lives of students.

Winners are Melissa Heath of Brooks Crossing, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; Nikki Friedman of Brunswick Acres, Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; James Angelus of Cambridge, Kendall Park; Joanne Kirk of Constable, Kendall Park; Lauren Sirr of Greenbrook, Kendall Park; Terri Wells of Indian Fields, Dayton section of South Brunswick; Sandy Olson of Monmouth Junction, Monmouth Junction; Paige Rimmer of Crossroads South Middle School, Monmouth Junction; Kim Zito of Crossroads North, South Brunswick; and Linda Cavanaugh of South Brunswick High School.

Teachers were selected for ability to effectively use instructional techniques and methods inside the classroom, establish a productive classroom climate and rapport with students, and develop a feeling of self worth and a love of learning. Recipients will be honored at a luncheon May 27.
